Thanks Joan for asking me to be your friend. I am excited to be a part of this group. I just finished an online YALSA class re: New Technologies and New Teens Literacies. That has been an eye opening experience for me and I hope for my library. Of 6 staff people, 5 are over 50, so we haven't grown up with this technology. Some staffers are willing to learn it, others "don't have time" - bad excuse. I look forward to continuing my education, and I will be asking questions!
